Shihan Dave is the head instructor and Co-Owner of East Coast Kenpo Academy. He started studying Kenpo at four years old, cross-training into any sport he could, with a focus on fencing, soccer, and basketball.
After College Shihan Dave relocated to NYC and began training under Sifu Jack Shamburger in Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo, a branch of Tracy’s Kenpo. In 2022 Dave earned his 4th Dan under Sifu’s instruction.
After relocating to Virginia, Dave stepped away from his career in Technology to open East Coast Kenpo Academy with his wife & co-owner Roma. Shihan strives to create an inclusive and welcoming community, bringing people together to work hard and progress their goals on and off the mat.
